I recently finished reading The Dialogue it is quite long! It took me a while to get used to the dialogue style, but I was soon drawn into the heartfelt conversation between this saint and her Lord.
Although it comes to us from the 12th century, The Dialogue deals with concepts that are familiar to all of us in the Christian life. Yet there were moments in which it felt as though I were discovering them for the first time.
This amazing book outlines the spiritual life as a path to God through Jesus Christ, who is the Bridge. Many virtues are mentioned as necessary for our salvation, but three of them Virtue Of Honor me as important for us today because they particularly contradict what the world values.
