Overland Journey In America - criticism
The journey south begins in Baja California on April 15th, and will take the XO crew through eight central American countries this spring. Along with sampling the best Central America has to offer, the XO team will cover portions of the Baja track. Following Baja, the team will continue south until the end of this season at the Darien Gap in Panama. General Tire is once again sponsoring the expedition with Grabber AT2 tires for all vehicles. I started out mostly day tripping in Anza Borrego and beyond, but I have learned that I am not a rock crawler and that I prefer to spend more than a few hours in the wild.
Though my Jeep is equipped to handle most anything that 33" tires can handle, I rarely choose trails that are technical slogs. Overtime I have been taking more and more multi day trips and honing my gear for overland travel.
My Jeep is my backpack, I try to keep my gear light and compact. This works fine except when I travel with both my Wife and Son 11then space gets tight.
