I think overall my feeling is the same as yours — it's probably fine. But there is definitely a part of me that hates any change to college football overtime, which is one of my favorite things in sports.
To sum up in case anyone missed it, the NCAA approved a rule change that would force teams to go for a two-point conversion after a touchdown starting in the second overtime it used to start in the fifth. That one I am completely fine with, but if I have an issue with the rule change it's with the second part: that if the game is still tied after the second overtime, the teams will have to alternate two-point conversion tries until the game ends. I like that you have to go for two points if you score a touchdown. That part is good. And I know that there have been some lengthy overtime games recently, and that the rules committee wants to make sure they don't have games going seven overtimes again.
